I am self taught and learning more and more every day. When I look back at some of the first templates I made, I am proud of the progress I’ve made in less than 2 years. Seriously, here is an example of one of my first templates.
I started out with Blogger templates and it was a great learning ground. But, when they switched to the new wigetized style, I felt stifled there and began learning WordPress. But before it all, I made my own website with 100’s of pages… way back before people had even heard of blogging.
Besides templates and web pages, I will also be posting about different plugins, tricks, scripts, help websites, etc. I hope you find them helpful.

Payment Policy Changes
♦ Filed Under General ♦ 3 Comments ♦This is something I have tried to avoid for two years, but it has to be done, due to the number of deadbeat clients lately. I’m fed up with busting my butt to make templates only to hear nothing back from people. At first it was annoying. But when it causes a delay in the delivery of another client’s template or disappointment from my kids because I told them we would go to the movies and lunch as soon as so and so paid and then to not get paid, I start getting mad.
For two years I’ve allowed payments to be made after completion on the design. Most designers ask for the full amount, up front, no refund. I used to think this was a bit extreme, but now I see where they are coming from. Because I do occasionally get a client that I just can’t seem to please, no matter how much I work, I’m not going to go that far. The policy will be a minimum of 1/2 up front, no refund. That way, I’m at least getting paid for some of my time.
I hope you all understand and realize that this will not change how much effort, time and work I put into making your template!
