i think the whole fact that you charge money for premade blog layouts is ludicrous- much less the fact that they’re so expensive and only to be sold once. what a lame idea! I see you don’t make very much money- if the prices were only 2 or 3 (and no higher) and available to numerous ppl. then you’d make more money and ppl would be more inclined to put links up to you- but since you don’t. well, good luck with that- i wonder how many ppl such as me leave when seeing the price of your layouts. hey *psst* theres free ones that are just as good, better in fact, all over the whole internet!

First of all, there are many designers who charge as much as $65 for a premade template.
Second, people know that there are free templates out there, just as they know there will be numerous other people also using that template. And there are many people who would rather pay a nominal fee to have a one-of-a-kind template.
Third, this is not a job. My livelihood does not depend on selling blog templates. This is for fun. While I do more business with custom templates, I make premade ones when I am bored or in between clients. when they sell, it’s great, but I don’t sit around refreshing my mail hoping one sells.
Last, yes, there are many, many templates out there that are way better than mine. I have never tried to hide the fact that I am self taught and don’t know all the tricks. And my prices reflect that. If you actually did a little research, you’d see that my prices are way lower than most designers. This isn’t done to undercut them, it’s simply that I won’t charge huge amounts for my simple designs.

I recently had a template made by this designer, she is very nice and was very easy to work with and quite surprisingly she understood what I wanted.
She is right, MANY designers and template companies charge $40-$80 PER template, I know there are GREAT templates out there for WordPress (since that is what I use) such as Woo-themes (I LOVE their templates, but would I use it? That depends… but that isn’t for debatable discussion here).
Would I use LunaStone’s templates? You betcha, heck I paid her so I could! Yes her templates may not come with any bells and whistles, but maybe that is for the best??? (another great blog entry for me someday) and I like what I have, its simple nice and not so boring! And she even helped me with one script I had trouble with
I also wanted to make a comment about one other no no’s to blogging and it really isn’t “horrible” or “taboo” its just something people will not realize they are doing until they see their google rank soar high enough. That being said, I read a blog entry that talked about “watch your blogging language”; my first thought was, what could go wrong there until I read on and realized that if you are going to use something like A*S (instead of A’S, you will find unpleasant results especially if you use google adsense. It may get you #1 on the google search, but in the wrong area unless you like Asses OR your site is dedicated to that then by all means

Hey Luna, got a question… this is kindof odd… and I know this is going to sound silly. I understand tomorrow is the last day of your sale and I only got one template (plus the free one as being one of the 3) and I have no objections paying you $50 in the future, saving money is a great thing (great for the buyer! Bad for the Seller!)
Your original sale is for $35 for custom template and $25 for the second and 3rd one free and technically I already got a free one so I will not expect a free one (and I’m not asking)
I am not quite ready for my next blog yet, so I was going to hold off getting another template. So I guess $50 for another one later on is no big issue except that it is a big difference between $45 (template+images) vs $60 (template+images).
Will you have another sale later on?

As for the additional charges, It’s rare that I stick to that… actually, I forgot that I had that page! Normally I just go by how long/complicated the additional work was.

As you can see I need help. Seven over at Blogs Gone Wild worked closely with me to customize my blog skin two years ago. I just love it. However, I fear that he is no longer with us as he was battling cancer. One month ago my blog skin blew up.
I had taken a year long break from blogging (family, etc.) Then I posted on October 14th and all was fine for two days or so when it all fell apart. My kids have tried to fix it and friends have tried also to no avail. I would really like to have it fixed but there doesn’t seem to be anybody who does that.
I need a new web designer to work with – Seven did banners, etc for me as well. Would you? Could You fix it? Also since I have been gone for a year, after the holidays I need to redo all of my links and will need new link headings. Another thing that I would like to know about is RSS feeds, etc. I don’t have them or know if they would be useful.
Please give me a price estimate if you will help me. I would appreciate it very much.

Luna, are you familiar with shashin at all? If not, no sweat. The problem I am having is mostly for the developer more so than for you although thought maybe you might be knowledgeable in the issue.
shashin is no longer loading highslide, er well when I first got the template from you it worked just fine with the slide show and all. Even my settings have not changed since it was setup.
Any ideas? Currently when you click on a thumbnail it goes to a page with just that image wich is NOT what I want
nevermind, discovered its a browser issue on my PC specifically… it doesn’t affect anyone else that I know of unless they have the same problem as me.

Do you have gift certificate options? I want to provide a gift of having a template/theme made for a friend as he has wordpress.
How would this work, I could refer him and I think he could get a discount or I could prepurchase a certain dollar amount and anything above that he would be responsible for.
